Founder and Medical Director, Dr. Rachael Eckel, completed her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and her Clinical Dermatology training at St. Bartholomew’s and the London School of Medicine before becoming Board Certified in Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr. Eckel refined her expertise through advanced postgraduate training at Harvard, Oxford, and Mount Sinai, as well as world-renowned centers across Paris, Monaco, Bogota, Dubai, London, and Moscow— building a global foundation that shapes every advanced technique, every consultation, and every patient result at The Skin Health Institute.

Personally mentored in Beverly Hills by the legendary Dr. Zein Obagi—who refers to her as his “prodigy and clone”—Dr. Eckel has helped shape global standards in skin health. She has served as Chair of the ZO Skin Health International Physician Faculty, lectured worldwide at leading conferences, and contributed to critical ZO educational materials, clinical research and product innovations. Her reputation for pioneering techniques and delivering transformative outcomes, especially for skin of colour and complex dermatologic conditions, has made her a sought-after educator, keynote speaker, and physician trainer.
